(Hosting-NewsWire.com, June 26, 2014 ) London, UK -- 1st4BIZ (First For Business) is holding a series of webinars to help local UK businesses (though also useful for those in other countries) with their online marketing. The current mini-series is to help roofers and roofing contractors. The first in the series "Roofing Marketing" highlighted the need for more detail about the importance of websites to a business. The first part of 2014 was a great start for roofers in the UK with nearly 10 times the number of searches. So now is a great time for them to invest in their company's future. So whilst the business is rosy with the economic situation helping the building trade a recent survey carried out by TrustMark and the HomeOwners Alliance shows that many more homeowners are choosing not to have work done on their properties due to a failure to locate trusted workers. The 2014 Homeowner Survey claims that over half of its respondents (57%) claim to have difficulty finding a trusted builder to assist with home repairs or improvements. So the next webinar will be on Monday 30th June at 20:00 UK time and will cover the many website questions that were raised. It is free. Participants are encouraged to ask questions that can be addressed during the presentation. The webinar will be around 30 mins and will cover the importance of a website for roofing companies and move on to the basics that need to be considered in a website design. With a website it is important to make it easy for people to take action which is normally to contact the company for a quote or a meeting. So roofers need to check that they have their contact details clear on their website. Another useful item is to have videos on the website - this is increases engagement with the web visitors and increases the percentage that will take action. Video marketing is not difficult and it does not need to be a professional video (though that helps). Hacking of websites is on the increase and needs to be considered in all online solutions. Steve Hooker the owner of 1st4BIZ had some interesting observations. "I loved the passion and energy that roofers had for their business. Rather them than me on the roofs! I was surprised by the number of detailed questions about what should be on the website. Partly originating from the high percentage who did not have a website but were considering one. This was surprising as a new client will pay for the website. There were also a number asking about mobile friendly websites from London or Surrey. In major cities and the South East many people use their smart phones a lot so particularly important to have a mobile friendly website. My top tip for roofers is to ask for honest feedback from friends and trade partners. Ask them to compare your site versus your major local competitors." Future webinars will include one of SEO for roofers and another for social media. Search Engine Optimisation has changed a lot and this hangout presentation will focus on what is required and what has changed over the last few years. Social Media is a huge subject so this webinar will look at what Social Media to use and which ones are the most useful for those in the building trades. The Roofing Marketing UK Webinar is well worth a view for Roofers and builders. Other items that will be covered during this webinar will include typical website questions, the role of testimonials and mobile friendly websites.
