(Hosting-NewsWire.com, August 23, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA -- Pirate Bay and IsoHunt, which are bit torrent websites, are being obstructed by Google algorithm. Those websites that deal with plagiarism of copyrighted material have been punished by Google algorithm by lowering the rank of these sites.
On Aug 10, Google declared on its inside search blog that those websites that received repeated elimination appeals would be lowered in page rank by Google. Google will start to take into consideration a new signal in the rankings according to notices they receive.
The Google blog warns that those sites, which have received the maximum elimination notices, will appear lower in their rankings. This change in ranking will help users to locate easily the authenticity and quality sources of content.
This effort by Google, including the rough treatment to sites with high numbers of elimination appeals is an attempt to satisfy entertainment trade groups like MPSS and RIAA. It is a new approach to internet piracy and copyright violations on the part of Google. Digital Trend notes that Google generally conserved its place as a road to all things.
According to torrent freak, Google takes action based on the take down application is that there should not be unlawful content on a site is a further criterion. The owner of the Bit torrent website IsoHunt, Gary Fung thinks that they need to protest against the antitrust bullying and restriction.
Fung writes on an IsoHunt forum that with a number of links subject to the attention, they never worried about responding to any DMCA notices from Google but that does not mean that all links filtered under isohunt.com are valid.
Blog for PirateBay notes that when people do not get the desired results while using Google, they directly go to TPB. They do not like that corrupt industry deciding what other industries have to do.
Torrent freak did an experiment a few days ago after hearing about Google’s plan to alter their algorithms by searching the Dictator Download. There are many torrent sites in top search ranks, which might not appear in the searches anymore after Google;s new system is in place.
